Meet Rebecca

The Founder

My name is Rebecca de Waart and I founded a suburban small flower farm at my home in Verona, Wisconsin, called The Growing Good Flower Farm. I specialize in growing dahlias and other romantic, heirloom and unique varieties of cut flowers, all grown without any chemicals. Local flowers that are chosen and cut fresh for you.

After a number of years as an opera singer, a mom and a private voice teacher, I have been a high school choir teacher for the last 5 years, which has allowed me to have my summers free to create and garden!

The Growing Good Flower farm has its roots in the inspiration I gleaned from my Italianate garden we had in our house in the Netherlands. After learning much about bulbs, garden design and cottage garden style, I've continually expanded our gardens wherever we have lived. In the pandemic, like many around the world who sought solace in being outside in the garden, I created a sanctuary for my family, as well as for the resident bees and insects in my flower garden.
